Following a second weekend of selection trials, Olympic gold medallist and former SUSF Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder Murray Stewart has been selected into the Australia team pool for the upcoming 2013 Canoe Sprint World Championships in Duisburg, Germany from the 27th August – 1st September.
Stewart booked his place in the team after taking out the K1 & K2 1000m races in impressive fashion.
Stewart and the rest of the Australian team will now split up as they head to various race specific training camps in the coming weeks, before heading overseas to prepare for the World Championships.
