The Southern Design Sydney Uni Flames players and coaching staff will be keeping themselves busy over the off-season when they run a series Flames camps and development sessions in Sydney and the Illawarra region over the July school holidays.

Retired basketball legend Karen Dalton (now Head Coach) will be joined by a host of Flames stars – including Flames captain Alicia Poto and Jaimee Kennedy – as they teach the basic fundamentals of basketball through skill work, drills and fun games.

Poto, who has been involved in Flames camps and development sessions for a number of years, is excited about the opportunity to once again work with girls and boys of all ability levels aged between 8-17 years of age.

“The aim of the camps and sessions is to help improve their overall basketball skills at both ends of the court,” explained Poto. “We also like to promote a better understanding of the game of basketball and its concepts. I can’t wait for the camps to start. ”

The Flames first July School Holiday camp will take place in Illawarra on Wednesday July 3, before staging camps at Hornsby (July 5) and two camps at the home of the Flames – the Sydney Uni Sports & Aquatic Centre (July 10 and July 11).

A full list of camps and their relevant details can be found below. For more information please contact Alicia Poto at the Flames Office on 9351 8100 or email [email protected].
