Sydney University’s first grade women’s hockey team will begin their defence of the Sydney Women’s Hockey League Metro I title this weekend, as they take on Glebe at the Sydney Olympic Park Hockey Centre (SOPHC) on Sunday afternoon.
Sydney University Hockey Club’s (SUHC) premier women’s team – who defeated Briars 3-1 on the same pitch that they will play on this weekend to add a 2012 major premiership to the 2012 minor premiership – will kick-start their season on Sunday at 1:30pm, while the men’s team will lock horns with Gordon-North Sydney on Sunday at 1pm at the Ryde Hockey Club.
All in all eight men’s teams; 10 women’s teams; five junior teams; and three masters teams will be back in action representing SUHC across Sydney this weekend.
