The Sydney Uni Lions will head into the 2012 Gridiron NSW finals full of confidence after another comprehensive victory over long-time foundation club rivals the Bondi Raiders 48-6 on Saturday.

The 42 point victory over the Raiders means that Sydney Uni retains the foundation shovel that is on the line when the two teams meet, and more importantly extended their unbeaten run to an incredible 81 victories heading into the finals series which begins in a fortnight’s time.

The first placed Lions will have this weekend off with the bye before playing a yet unestablished fourth placed team in the semi finals.

The Seahawks and Mustangs are tied for fourth and will come up against each other in the final round of games this weekend, with the winner going through to semis.

The Lions semi final will take place on Saturday 8th December at 7pm at 5 Sports Caringbah, inside the grounds of the Endeavour Sports High School.
