The Sydney Uni Lions have earned their bye weekend after trouncing arch rivals the Bondi Raiders 61-0 in round 6 of the Gridiron NSW League.
The Raiders were no match for the mighty Lions who extended their unbeaten run to an incredible 76 matches and once again took home the Foundation Shovel (played for each season between these two foundation clubs).
Two weeks ago the Lions brushed aside the previously undefeated Sutherland Seahawks 46-8 in the face of some terrible weather in Wollongong.
The Lions are now the only undefeated team in the competition as they have a bye weekend off.
