Five Sydney University Football Club (SUFC) teams will take to the field this weekend in the Sydney Rugby Union 2012 Finals Series.
1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade and 4th Grade will all play at Coogee Oval in week 1 of the Qualifying Finals and Colts 3 will play in their week 1 Semi Final at Forshaw Rugby Park.
The SUFC 1st Grade side face up against second placed Manly, in what promises to be a very tough battle.
Sydney Uni has been unable to tame the Marlins so far this year, but with combinations clicking in Saturday’s 45-17 win over Southern Districts, Head Coach Todd Louden believes the best is yet to come from his side.
“There have been so many forced changes in the last month, due to injury and player unavailability, that we have really had to re-build the team from scratch,” said Louden.
“On Saturday the team clicked and played some great footy, but I believe we have more to give and we are going to have to find the next level of rugby to compete in this very tough Finals Series.”
