The City of Sydney Netball Association (CSNA)/Sydney Uni Open State Championship team has finished in seventh position after 22 rounds of netball played over three days in Penrith at the Netball NSW State Championships.
The Uni girls achieved an impressive 10 wins from 20 games (2 byes) to finish in the top half of the 15 team ladder.
They were joined by four Cairns North Tigers as part of an exchange program (netball and education) aimed at encouraging the Sydney University netballers to understand the privileged position they are in with regards to the program that the club is developing.
The tournament also served as an opportunity for the girls from Cairns to experience elite level netball.
In other news the Under 19s CSNA/Sydney Uni team finished in 13th place.
