Two Sydney University athletes, Ros Lawrence and Jessica Fearnside, have been nominated as finalists for the 2011 NSW Annual Sports Awards.
Lawrence, a Sydney University Elite Athlete Program (EAP) scholarship holder (B. International and Global Studies), has been nominated as a finalist in the category of ‘Young Athlete of the Year’ representing the sport of canoe/kayak.
Jessica Fearnside, B. Applied Science (MRS) Diagnostic Radiography Graduate at the University of Sydney and former Sydney University EAP, has been nominated as a finalist in the category of ‘Young Official of the Year’ representing the sport of handball.
The 2011 NSW Annual Sports Awards Dinner will be held at Waterview, Bicentennial Park on the 16 February.
