Southern Design Sydney Uni Flame and Olympian Belinda Snell has been named joint-WNBL Player of the Month for November with fellow Olympian Suzy Batkovic of the Adelaide Lightning, with voting head coaches unable to split two of the stars of the league throughout the second month of the season.

Snell contributed 23 points, six rebounds and four assists in the Flames Round Five victory against the AIS, before backing up with 23 more a week later against the Townsville Fire.

Snell, like Batkovic, has also had a number of 30 point games this season, highlighted by her 36 point explosion in a losing effort against the Logan Thunder in what was the second of three-straight games in which she played in all 40 minutes of action.

In her final game of the month, despite losing to the Lightning, Snell scored 20 points, to go along with 11 rebounds and seven assists.

Snell is the second Sydney Uni Flames player to be awarded the Player of the Month this season, with team-mate Amy Denson taking out the honour for October.

The WNBL Player of the Month award is voted on by the league’s ten head coaches.
