After hosting a calendar full of successful events – round robins, tournaments, Hot Shots Challenge Days – the Sydney University Tennis Club has  decided to host the only Parent/Child Charity challenge in Sydney!

The 2011 Sydney Uni Tennis Charity Challenge will be held on Sunday October 30th at the University of Sydney Lawn Tennis Club (one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs in Sydney).

This exciting day of tennis will seek to involve tennis playing families throughout the wider Sydney community, and a percentage of the proceeds from the day will be donated to the Shepherd Centre.

The Shepherd Centre assists children with hearing difficulties by helping them to develop spoken language skills. http://www.shepherdcentre.com.au/

The day will run from 9am-3pm, with lunch and guest speakers scheduled between pool play and the semi-finals and will consist of Parent/Child doubles in a Round Robin format.

Families can enter in one of 3 categories: Hot Shots, Elite Juniors, and Elite Open.

The Sydney Uni Tennis Club are expecting a fun and exciting day of tennis for families of the local community.

On top of the scheduled events, they will also have Hot Shot demonstrations and other entertaining activities!
