Three Sydney University Cricket Club First Grade players, who are all also Sydney University Elite Athlete Program scholarship holders, have been selected to represent NSW in Second XI fixtures over the next couple of weeks.

Beau Casson and Scott Henry have been selected to play against Western Australia at the WACA and will most likely confront former Sydney University opening bowler, Mark Cameron. Both players, together with Nick Larkin (B. Commerce) have also been selected to play Queensland in Brisbane. Larkin, who captained Sydney University’s victorious Poidevin Gray team last season, and scored his first First Grade century in the semi-final against Bankstown, will debut at this level.

In other cricket news, a strong Sydney University team will play this Sunday in the State Challenge Cup against Newcastle DCA. The match is played annually between the Sydney Grade Cricket limited over champions and the Country Champions.

The match is being played at Ron Hill Oval, Toronto, starting at 9.30am.
