Southern Design Sydney University Flames legends Trish Fallon and Karen Dalton will be inducted into the Basketball New South Wales Hall of Fame at a special function on Saturday night.

Fallon and Dalton are already members of the Basketball Australia Hall of Fame and will join the state’s basketball luminaries at the BNSW Hall of Fame event at the Palais Function on Saturday.

The name Dalton is synonymous with basketball excellence in NSW, with the Flames coach playing or being involved as a coach with the club for more than 30 years.

A dual Olympian and WNBL Life Member, Dalton is the club’s games record holder and is regarded as one of the finest ever Australian Opals.

Her brothers Brad and Mark both enjoyed stellar careers in the NBL and represented their country with distinction, while sister Leanne enjoyed a successful WNBL career with the Flames.

Trish Fallon is a three-time Olympian, captaining the Opals to a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Considered one of the most athletic and versatile forwards ever to wear the green and gold, Fallon played with the Flames across two decades and also played with distinction in Spain, Italy and the WNBA.

Since retiring, Fallon has been the Operations Manager of the Sydney University Flames and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the club.
