many personal bests and semi final appearances.
Heat
Swims
Stephen Parkes qualified third fastest in
the 100m individual medley for the evening’s semi finals in 54. 91 and team
mate Tim Halliday qualified 13th in 56.73.
Kate Johnson continued her good form and
qualified 9th for the 100m butterfly semi-final in a personal best
time of 1.00.50.
Meagan Ramsay qualified for the B final in
the 200m individual medley in 13th position in a personal best time
of 2.15.05.
Semi-finals
Stephen Parkes qualified 5th
fastest for the finals of the 100 individual medley in 54.84. Tim finished a
creditable 14th in a personal best time of 56.25.
Commonwealth record holder Matthew Abood
qualified for the much sought after lane four for the final of the men’s 100m
freestyle on Day 5 after an impressive 47.50 in the second semi-final.
Kate Johnson swam a personal best time in
the 100m butterfly semi to narrowly miss a finals spot finishing 10th
in 1.00.46.
Meagan Ramsay finished 13th in
the 200m individual medley B final in 2.15.85.
